Fume is a British graffiti writer whose work is rooted in letter form rather than in image-making — the tradition that runs from the New York subway through the UK scene of the 1980s and 1990s, where the name itself is the subject and the skill is in the construction of the letters. The studio work carries that vocabulary onto canvas and board, and the wall work continues alongside it.
