Art News: What most Banksy prints actually sell for, from 77 UK auction lots
By Whitebank Fine Art
Between December 2024 and October 2026, one specialist UK saleroom offered 77 Banksy prints across 14 sales, and 59 of them sold. The median price paid was £13,750, including the buyer's premium. Prices ran from £7,280 for Flag (Silver) to £140,875 for a signed Girl with Balloon.
The Banksy prices that make the news come from the London evening and day sales, where signed proofs and rare editions can reach six figures. Banksy prints 2026 covers those. These 77 lots show the rest of the market: mostly unsigned screenprints, the kind most owners have. Only four of them were described as signed.

Banksy, Flying Copper, 2004, screenprint. Offered four times in these sales and sold every time, for £12,500 to £17,500.
What most Banksy prints sold for
Of the 59 prints that sold:
- 10 made under £10,000
- 32 made between £10,000 and £19,999
- 12 made between £20,000 and £49,999
- 5 made £50,000 or more
That puts 42 of the 59, a little over seven in ten, under £20,000 with the premium included. Another 18 lots did not sell, just under a quarter of everything offered.
The prints that came up most often
Twelve titles were offered three times or more.
| Offered | Sold | Prices paid | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Queen Victoria | 7 | 6 | £8,750 to £16,250 |
| Toxic Mary | 5 | 4 | £7,500 to £13,750 |
| Flag (Silver) | 5 | 3 | £7,280 to £10,000 |
| Flying Copper | 4 | 4 | £12,500 to £17,500 |
| I Fought The Law | 4 | 3 | £8,750 to £12,500 |
| Laugh Now | 4 | 3 | £18,750 to £51,250 |
| Monkey Queen | 4 | 2 | £8,750 to £10,625 |
| Trolleys (Colour) | 3 | 3 | £18,750 to £22,500 |
| Gangsta Rat | 3 | 2 | £12,280 to £12,500 |
| Choose Your Weapon (Grey) | 3 | 1 | £45,000 |
| Welcome To Hell (Red) | 3 | 0 | None sold |
| Weston Super Mare | 3 | 0 | None sold |
The same title can sell for very different sums. Queen Victoria made £8,750 at one sale and £16,250 at another, and Laugh Now ranged from £18,750 to £51,250. Edition, signature and condition account for much of a gap like that, so the range for a title tells you less than a look at the print itself.

Banksy, Toxic Mary, 2004, screenprint. Five offered, four sold, for £7,500 to £13,750.
The top of the range
Five prints made £50,000 or more:
- Girl with Balloon, described as signed: £140,875, March 2026
- Lenin on Roller Skates: £106,250 in June 2026, and £97,500 in September 2026
- Radar Rat: £65,000, June 2025
- Laugh Now: £51,250, December 2024

Banksy, Girl with Balloon, 2004, screenprint, signed edition. A signed impression made £140,875 in March 2026.
What did not sell
Eighteen lots went unsold. Weston Super Mare was offered three times at £7,000 to £9,000 and did not sell, and nor did Welcome To Hell (Red) in three attempts at estimates between £12,000 and £18,000. Choose Your Weapon (Grey) sold for £45,000 in March 2025, then was offered twice more that year, at estimates from £34,000 to £42,000, without selling. A lot that does not sell has usually not reached its reserve, the confidential minimum agreed between the seller and the saleroom.
Reading the prices against the estimates
The saleroom set its estimates on the hammer price, and the prices above include the buyer's premium on top. A print that appears to beat its estimate may only do so once the premium is added: on that basis 24 of the 59 sold above the high estimate, and none below the low one. Auction fees explained sets out how premium and commission work. One saleroom is a sample of the market rather than the whole of it, and these figures describe what happened at its sales, not where prices are going.
If you own a Banksy print
The tables by price, by year and by title are on our Banksy price guide, and the Banksy price calculator gives a range for a named print. For a figure on yours, send photographs of the front, the signature area if there is one, the back and any Pest Control paperwork. Selling a Banksy compares the routes to market. There is no obligation to sell, and we act for you rather than for the saleroom.
