Paris Photo 2026 runs at the Grand Palais from 12 to 15 November, with more than 240 exhibitors from 38 countries, a Thomas Ruff retrospective and the Centre Pompidou's photography collection, in the year photography turns 200.

The dates for the main art fairs, auctions and exhibitions around the world from Art Basel Paris this week to documenta 16 in 2027, including Frieze Abu Dhabi, the New York sales on 18 November and Art Basel Miami Beach.

Simeon Barclay, Kira Freije, Marguerite Humeau and Tanoa Sasraku are shortlisted for the Turner Prize 2026. The exhibition is at MIMA in Middlesbrough until 29 March 2027, and the winner is announced on 10 December.

Bridget Riley's Streak 2 of 1979 sold for £5,214,000 at Christie's London on 14 October, an auction record for the artist. The next day her Ka 4 made £915,500 at Bonhams.

Banksy's Keep Ou T sold at Phillips in London on 15 October for £1,612,500, within its estimate. Grannies at Sotheby's and Laugh Now at Bonhams did not sell.
· David Hockney, Auction market
David Hockney's Dog Painting 17, his 1995 portrait of the dachshund Stanley asleep on a cushion, sold for £3.51 million at Christie's London on 14 October, well above its estimate of £1.5 million to £2.5 million.
