What a work by Nick Knight is worth
Send photographs and whatever paperwork came with it. The first question is what the work actually is — edition or unique, when, and in what condition — because everything else follows from the answer. A valuation is free, made online from the photographs you send, and it commits you to nothing. We act for sellers across the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.

Bio
Nick Knight was born in London in 1958 and studied photography at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design, publishing his first book, Skinhead, in 1982 while still a student. The magazine i-D commissioned portraits from him soon after, and in 1986 he photographed the catalogue for the Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto with the art director Marc Ascoli and the designer Peter Saville. He photographed a campaign for Jil Sander in 1992, launched the website SHOWstudio in 2000, and has directed music videos for Björk, Lady Gaga and Kanye West. In 2016 he photographed official portraits of Queen Elizabeth II and the Prince of Wales for her ninetieth birthday. He is an honorary professor at the University of the Arts London.
His photographs appear as editioned prints, including hand-coated pigment prints, so the edition, the print process and the size should all be checked against the label or certificate. Photographic surfaces scratch and fade, and should be kept out of strong light.
