What a work by Wilhelm Sasnal is worth

Send photographs and whatever paperwork came with it. The first question is what the work actually is — edition or unique, when, and in what condition — because everything else follows from the answer. A valuation is free, made online from the photographs you send, and it commits you to nothing. We act for sellers across the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.

Bio

Wilhelm Sasnal was born in Tarnów, Poland, in 1972. He studied architecture in Kraków for two years before moving to the Academy of Fine Arts there, and graduated in painting in 1999. As a student he was a member of the Ładnie Group with Rafał Bujnowski, Marcin Maciejowski and Józef Tomczyk, who painted the banal surroundings of contemporary Poland in a deliberately unskilled style. Sasnal paints a wide range of subjects, everyday objects, historical figures, views of Kraków, friends and family, often starting from existing images found on the internet or in the media, and he also works in drawing, photography, comics and film. He is considered one of the most internationally successful Polish artists of his generation.

Paintings on canvas, works on paper and prints all appear. A gallery invoice and the date of the work place it within his output, and canvases should be checked for scuffs and abrasions.
