What a work by Anastasia Bay is worth
Send photographs and whatever paperwork came with it. The first question is what the work actually is — edition or unique, when, and in what condition — because everything else follows from the answer. A valuation is free, made online from the photographs you send, and it commits you to nothing. We act for sellers across the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.

Bio
Anastasia Bay was born in Paris in 1988 and graduated in 2012 from the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where she studied under François Boisrond. She lives and works in Brussels. Her paintings take classical subjects, mythological scenes, nudes and still lifes, and recast them with bold shapes, strong outlines and flattened space, so that the art history shows through without the pictures looking old. Her solo exhibitions include Maestra Lacrymae at Sorry We're Closed in Brussels in 2024 and a show at Venus Over Manhattan in New York in 2025, and her work is in collections including Lafayette Anticipations in Paris, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami and the X Museum in Beijing.
Most of her work is painting on canvas, with some works on paper and a few editions. A gallery invoice and the date of the work are what buyers look for first, and canvases should be checked for scuffs, which show readily on flat areas of colour.
